i feel like i haven’t done a post on britney spears in ages - ever since she lost her crazy factor she has been far less interesting but i suppose it’s all for the best - she was a total hot mess (yet not as messy as my amy winehouse…) but thankfully when her father jamie spears was awarded control of her affairs via a court appointed conservatorship that seemed to be the turning point for the fallen pop princess! today ms. spears was on the receiving end of some good news concerning her two boys sean preston and jayden james - they’ll be able to spend the night with their mom! slowly britney has been regaining visitation rights over the past few months - her next court date is set for july 15th - if things keep progressing the way they are - she’ll have her kids full-time again before the year is out! special kudos go out to daddy kevin federline who has managed to be a stable influence in his kids’ lives…who would have thought he’d turn out to be a decent father?!? popbytes over & out for now…xxoo (the pictures below are from today when britney decided to do a little shopping at fred segal on melrose & crescent heights - with a water bottle rather than red bull in hand…things are finally looking up for her!)

A newly-released video shows the singer bemoaning the ‘big fat thighs’ she inherited from her mother. The video, apparently shot during recording sessions for her latest album, Hard Candy, reveals a little-seen insecure side to the normally confident star.

Despite wearing skimpy leotards on stage, she is heard on the clip pleading: ‘Don’t show my big fat thighs, whatever you do.’ [Source]

good morning! last night i ended up watching late show w/ david letterman while trying to fall asleep - guests included kevin spacey, sex educator sue johanson (sadly her show is no longer on oxygen) and actress liv tyler (promoting her new flick the strangers) who showed up looking a little overdone in my opinion (the UK’s daily mail agrees) her vampy tight dress wasn’t flattering in the least (that big ass belt just accentuates her hips in the wrong way) and the bright red lipstick is too harsh - her attempt at edge fails miserably - she looks like a wannabe dita von teese (who is always so impeccably put together - she’s a complete fashion goddess) now that ms. tyler is about to be single again (word broke not that long ago she’s splitting from her hubby & baby daddy of five years rocker royston langdon) she’ll need to think more carefully before going out in public looking like a total fashion disaster - i guess we’ll forgive her this time but next time there’s totally no excuses allowed! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

Karolina Kurkova, one of the world’s hottest models, was called “fat” by the Brazilian media.

Kurkova was slammed in the country for appearing in a bikini with what critics called “back fat, love handles and cellulite” at the Cia Maritima show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

An article in a Brazilian paper about 5′11″ Kurkova described how “shocked” the audience was when she appeared looking uncharacteristically chubby with “cellulite on her butt.” [Source]

I don’t even want to comment on how ridiculous this is. Just because she’s looking healthy, they’re calling her “fat”?! Have they already forgotten Ana Carolina Reston, the Brazilian model who died less than two years ago from anorexia?

UPDATE! oh my word - i thought the band was great but i was a drop disappointed with their setlist…they didn’t play a lot of older stuff which i was hoping for i’m glad i went - i met a bunch of cool people plus i got to hang out with my pal tina and her boyfriend kris! overall i had a great time but it could have been better…

good evening! i’m about to walk over to the hollywood bowl (since it’s literally around the corner) to finally see R.E.M. play live - they’re on their accelerate tour to promote the band’s new album - which is quite decent (especially the 2nd single hollow man) but of course i’m hoping the boys play a bunch of their old songs (it’s the end of the world as we know it (and i feel fine)) too which i’m sure they will! i actually shouldn’t be going to a concert - i’m so behind on a bunch of things and this weekend is already jam packed (i’ll be covering the MTV movie awards on sunday which should be fun…) but i couldn’t pass up the chance to see one of my all-time fave bands playing in my hood (not to mention the major crush i’ve had on lead singer michael stipe for the longest time) when i get back later i’ll do a quick update to this post with a few thoughts about the show (plus i’ll possibly be twittering via my blackberry - i’m trying to get into the habit of twittering all the time) popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

As you can see from these candid pictures snapped on Tuesday (June 24) in Beverly Hills, Nicky Hilton is still scary skinny. Or at least her legs are.

What I find strange is that her upper body doesn’t look as emaciated as her lower body, so this calls for a poll…

hey hey! one of my favorite ladies gwen stefani was spotted out & about today with her hubby gavin rossdale (who is busy promoting his debut solo album wanderlust) and their adorable son kingston chilling at the london zoo - she’s way huge at the moment and will probably give birth to her second child very soon (my fingers are cross she has a little girl) then she better get her ass back in the studio - i’ve been waiting for new material from no doubt for years now! ms. stefani is totally the cutest pregnant lady ever (angelina jolie is the sexiest pregnant lady) i love her chill attitude and low-key glamorous lifestyle - like i’ve said many times before if i had to pick one girl to transform into - hands down it would be gwen! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo
