UPDATE oh my gosh i had the best time - many thanks must go out to my new pals kat, laura and scott who all totally made my night - we all had so much fun (plus i ran into my pal jen from buzznet again) kate was amazing - but right now i’m super tired (girlfriend didn’t come on until 10:30ish) i so need to get to bed very soon! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo

hey hey! a few months back my dear pal victoria first introduced me to kate nash who she suspected that i would dig - and damn she was so right (she was also the same person who first got me started on lily allen) i absolutely fell in love with kate’s debut album made of bricks and tonight she’s playing over at henry fonda theater and of course i secured myself a ticket to the show - i can’t wait - i haven’t been this excited about a concert in a long time! (especially after reading my blogger pal jocelyn’s glowing review over on in case you didn’t know) when i get back later tonight i’ll update this post with a few quick thoughts - popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

Victoria Beckham appeared at a special signing promoting her dVb denim collection at Harrods in London yesterday (May 15). Here’s what she says about the collection:

“This past year has been amazing, not only as a mother and wife but as the Creative Director of my label ‘dVb by Victoria Beckham’.

In just under two years dVb has grown from a passionate idea into collections which are stocked in top stores around the world – something I only used to dream of.

As Creative Director I am involved in every aspect of the brand – anything which has my name on I have created since the beginning. I’m extremely passionate about what I do and I thoroughly enjoy working closely with my team to design each and every style, to thinking about the smallest details such as fabrics, colorways and packaging.

I’m very proud of dVb, each collection gets stronger with every season and the label grows as I do. Along with women’s denim the dVb mens collection has just launched, and who better than David to be my muse! On the other side of the Atlantic there’s a little drama going on though. Posh refused to promote her line at the Los Angeles Kitson store, so now the Kitson owner, Fraser Ross, is warning her to “grow up” and start promoting the line or “go home”.

“It’s a huge slap in the face,” says Kitson boutqiue owner Fraser Ross. “Her people told us that we won’t be getting an in-store appearance because Victoria was angry about all the negative press she got here and things I said. So instead of trying to fix it, she’s just snubbing us at a time when the U.S. economy really needs a boost.” [Source]

good morning & happy friday! do you know what today is? it just so happens to be brooke mueller & charlie sheen’s one week wedding anniversary - they’ve been hitched for an entire seven days! they actually seem like a decent couple together but i can’t help thinking - how long is this really going to last?!? the latest issue of OK! magazine is featuring mr. sheen and his new (third) bride on the cover - with more on their low-key beverly hills nuptials inside! i wonder if his ex-wife denise richards managed to get her paws on an advanced copy of the magazine like she so desperately wanted…oh it’s totally time for her to move on - i wonder who she’ll trap in her web next? (as you can tell i’m not a huge fan of ms. richards or her highly irritating laugh) popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

at one point a beaming charlie grabbed the microphone and told guests, “i would like to introduce you to mrs. charlie sheen. we did it, didn’t we?” later a 14-piece rock band played as everyone danced at the groom’s request. “i was telling a couple of friends last night that this feels like my first real marriage, charlie confessed to ok!. “the first one was a show, the second one was a con, and this one is the real deal.” despite his notorious bad-boy reputation, charlie told ok! that he is devoted to brooke, and feels a new sense of commitment in his life. he also has made a promise to himself, never to utter richards’ name in public again. it’s a lesson he admits has taken a long time to learn…

We haven’t seen Lindsay Lohan on this site in a while, so here are some new candid pictures of her and her BFF / lesbian lover / conjoined twin Samantha Ronson, as they were hanging out in Beverly Hills yesterday (May 5th).

In case you were wondering what LiLo has been up to lately, the answer is: not much. The only notable thing is that she’s going to appear on the season finale of Ugly Betty as a “down-on-her-luck high school pal of Betty”. That sounds interesting!

hey hey! this week’s national enquirer broke word of a supposed split between jodie foster and longterm partner of fourteen years cydney bernard (although apparently they’re still living under the same roof) i doubt we’ll hear much about the situation from ms. foster - she’s always been fiercely private about her personal life - and still has yet to officially ‘come out’ as a lesbian - and she shouldn’t have to - that’s totally her own business although i do suspect she’ll be opening up at some point! i’ve always loved & respected ms. foster as an actress although i simply couldn’t bear to see her last movie nim’s island - totally not my type of flick

moving on to the larger story on the cover (literally) we’ve got pregnant lisa marie presley looking huge last month - she must be ginormous by now (she’s only halfway through her pregnancy) maybe she’ll up angelina jolie (pregnant with twins) by one and drop triplets - we certainly haven’t seen a pair of triplets in hollywood lately (i can’t even recall one celebrity pregnancy that was more than twins - can you?) she also sounds like a total nightmare to deal with at the moment - those baby hormones must drive some ladies extra crazy - they’re claiming ms. presley is having tantrums & meltdowns galore (she’s a real-life pregzilla - stand back people!) plus they get all dramatic with ’she’ll gain 100lbs’ which does seem like an awful lot of extra baby weight to carry around - i wish lisa marie and her musician hubby michael lockwood all the luck in the world - it sounds like the couple might need it! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo

oh danity kane is one of my guiltiest of pleasures - the girls dropped their new video over on FNMTV tonight for the second single bad girl (off their latest album welcome to the dollhouse) which features my darling missy elliott - it’s total pop fluff & cheese but highly enjoyable (especially ms. elliott’s part) i was so surprised tonight after the video premiered one of the commentators james montgomery (alongside guest pink who has a new album coming out in october) slammed the girls saying it was like a pussycat dolls video (which it easily could be…) i didn’t expect there to be any real criticism on the show - i liked it - rather than the usual artist ass kissing that goes on during these types of shows! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo

Here are some new candid pictures of Lindsay Lohan, taken yesterday (June 26) on the set of her upcoming new movie “Labor Pains” in Los Angeles. In this film Lindsay plays Thea, a young woman who pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job.

I know some people have criticized her for gaining a few pounds in the past year, but I think this is probably her ideal weight and she looks really good like this!

good evening! this week’s national enquirer has one of those cover stories everyone loves - hollywood stars and their imperfections - this time the culprit is ‘cellulite’ - recently striking big-time up inside 22-year old mischa barton’s legs who was seriously not pleased when photographers snapped shots of her ‘cottage cheese’ - she’s the youngest ‘victim’ featured - the ‘guess who?’ on the left is ‘hot tranny mess’ actress phoebe price who was photographed earlier today in hollywood proudly holding up the magazine (check ‘em out over on dlisted - he’s all about ms. price!) i’ve never seen anybody so desperate for attention - you almost start to feel bad for phoebe - everyday there are pics of her out & about usually trolling on robertson blvd - she’s addicted to being in any spotlight available! i’ve never done a post on ms. price here on popbytes but i think i feel one coming on soon…anyways inside there’s also details about mariah carey’s surprise wedding to nick cannon - actually about a month ago the enquirer was the first outlet to break word of their secret romance - everyone always knocks this publication but more than a few times they’ve nailed it dead on! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo
